Mark at his peak prime(a version of mark we haven't seen in the show yet) would absolutely destroy homelander. The current version of mark we've seen in season 2 of invincible wouldn't beat the season 4 of the Boys version of homelander that we've on screen if they put against each other. That's my opinion anyways. Season 4 homelander is ruthless and Mark even though he killed Angstrom Levi still doesn't have the guts it would take to fight season 4 Homelander 1-on-1.

Invincible is literally a traditional superhero universe so many of it's heroes and villains can easily crush Homelander in a fight. Just look at DEATH BATTLE's Omni-Man vs. Homelander.

I feel like Mark bring injured by the sun makes perfect sense. He was fighting Thragg the whole point of him fight Thragg on the sun was to overcome the ludicrous amount of durability provided by the amount of smart atoms that make up their bodies. So typically mark could sit in the sun yet his smart atoms were being overpowered because he was also tanking shots from a planetary threat.

I'm betting there will probably be an official on-screen crossover between the 2 franchises in a future episode. Mark is bouncing across the multiverse lately which will allow it to happen. Something so weird about power scaling is that depending on your perspective Homelander would either rip apart someone like Spiderman or get blitzed and one shot by someone like Black Widow. Technically human characters in Marvel and DC have some insane scaling via fighting higher level opponents, but at the same time they are just regular humans and by that logic they should be ants compared to Homelander.

I'll be honest, the only way John could ever beat Mark is if he fought him as an inexperienced warrior. Other than that, Markus would feed him his heart faster than Jonathan could fry his mother.

Homelander has an ability that could actually screw over Mark, and that's his sound based attacks. If, and this is kind of a big if, he was able to figure out the right frequency that Robot uses to disable Mark, he might be able to stun him enough to land some strong blows to vital areas. Mark is durable, but I think Homelander has enough juice to cause fatal injuries if he is unimpeded.

While I 100% agree that invincible stomps Homelander no diff I disagree when you mentioned MK Homelander. Fire god Liu Kang is far far far beyond large planetary. His fight with Titan Shang Tsung produced mammoth energies that ripped space and time apart and created an infinite multiverse. Mk is far beyond hypersonic FG Liu Kang can move in Kronika’s realm which is beyond time. He also upscales the elder gods who can fight and move before time itself existed.
